During Qualifications, all ranked games played online will count towards your ranking. The Leaderboard will track players' ranking on a daily basis. Your ranking is calculated using an ELO rating system, a method used across all 2KSports online leaderboards. At the conclusion of Check-In, the top 30 gamers who have checked-in will move on the the Virtual Season. These participants will be assigned a team via draft based on their Qualification Period performance (Wins, Losses, Runs Scored, ERA, etc.). Virtual Season Opening Day is June 1, 2008, and the 15-game season concludes on June 29, 2008, with the Playoffs beginning on July 5, 2008. 8 teams advance to the Playoffs based on the final Season standings. Just like in MLB, the 8 teams consist of 6 Division winners and 2 Wild Card teams. Those 8 teams will face-off in a single elimination tournament, with the final 2 teams advancing to the Championship in New York City. Check out the complete details and schedule.
